… to me! On Sunday 15th April Full Twist was three years old.
Thank you to those who have taken the time to read, recommend, share and comment on Full Twist over the past three years. Since our 2nd birthday last year, the site has really taken off and we have met some fantastic people and new friends along the way. The highlight of the year was having the extreme pleasure of telling Ireland’s boy next door, Kieran Behan that he had successfully qualified to the London 2012 Olympic Games. Another main highlight of the last year was the London 2012 Test Event, which has opened a whole lot of new and exciting opportunities for the site.
As we edge closer to the London 2012 Olympics, with only 101 days to go, we will continue to do our best to bring you the latest gymnastics news and views from around the world. Last Friday we launched our new series, “Gymnastics History: Olympic Champions” where we will take a look into all of past Olympic Champions in both WAG and MAG. We began the series with a look back at the WAG Vault Champions, as far as the Helsinki Games in 1952. The post shows the highly interesting evolution of the women’s vault. Readers of the site are currently debating who will be our next Olympic Vault Champion, taking the reigns from Jong Un Hong who won in 2008.
If you would like to contribute to Full Twist, whether it’s photographs, videos or articles – MAG, WAG, Tumbling, Acro, Rhythmic, Trampolining or any other discipline of gymnastics, please do get in touch via the Contact Page.
A sincere thank you to all of those who have stuck with Full Twist from the very beginning as we have grown and a thank you to those who have joined us along the way.
