Tweet The Irish MAG delegation of Luke Carson, Kieran Behan and Anthony O’Donnell departed for Rotterdam this week with coaches Simon Gale and Demetrios Bradshaw. Tom Dillon will lead the delegation with Colm Murray as Ireland’s judging representative. Luke has only just returned from competing in the Commonwealth Games where he performed fantastically, placing 15th in the All Around final.
For those wondering (and without going into it too much), Luke can compete for both the Republic of Ireland (Worlds) and Northern Ireland (Commonwealths). This is under the terms of The …

Tweet By now you will have heard about Indian gymnast Ashish Kumar’s historic achievement, winning Indias first gymnastics medals in the Commonwealth Games. It’s a fantastic achievement, unfortunately not everyone thinks so. Lauren Mitchell from Australia played an absolute blinder, equaling the gymnastics golden Games record held by former Canadian gymnast Lori Strong since 1990. Lauren scooped the gold on beam to equal the four gold medals record held since the year before she was born.

Tweet Rick posted earlier this morning about Ashish Kumar, the Indian gymnast who yesterday won his countries first medal – a bronze in the Commonwealth Games. Not only is it India’s first medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games but their first medal in gymnastics since the beginning of Commonwealth Games in 1930.
Ashish has just bagged a Silver medal for his vault in the Individual Apparatus Finals. Great news!!
