Tweet After Great Britain’s Men’s team secured their place at the London 2012 Olympics Daniel Keatings described the qualifying competition as a very emotional event. The crowd roared as Team GB secured their place, 7 marks higher than France in second place, and the gymnasts could finally breath a sigh of relief having spent long days in the gym in Lilleshall over the Christmas period.
It was amazing, especially the support from the home crowd. We had to pull together as a team after Tokyo and over the Christmas period, which …

Tweet Great Britain’s Daniel Keatings wrote a column for The Telegraph following his uncharacteristically bad form at the World Gymnastics Championships in Tokyo. From reading the column, it is clear to see that Dan is clearly gutted at the result, as Great Britain’s main objective for the 2011 WCh’s was to qualify for the London 2012 Games.
I am trying to erase the memory of the World Championships from my mind. Nothing went to plan for me and our performance as a team was probably as bad as it gets.

Tweet After a rough qualification session first thing this morning, the British Men suffered a long and agonizing wait to hear their fate. Spectacularly uncharacteristic falls and slip ups from Kristian Thomas and Daniel Keatings brought the team score down. At the end of subdivision 5, they were ranking in 6th position with China, France, Canada, Australia and Korea still to compete. After subdivision 7, they slipped to 7th place.
As per the rules only the top 8 can qualify can automatically qualify to the London Olympics. Every team taking part here are …

Tweet The British media has been a flurry for the past week or so with news of their gymnasts ahead of the European Championships.
Louis Smith and coach Paul Hall are raising the bar
I absolutely love this piece from The Telegraph, it’s very honest from both Paul Halls side and Louis Smiths side.
When I was young I was probably the worst kind of kid to coach: the problem child from hell. I had ADHD, a short attention span and I was just crazy.
I hate it now when I meet someone like …
