Not long after hosting the World Championships, Japan will host the Tokyo Cupthis weekend. This event is an All Around competition. This is the final World Cup event of the year, we will then know who is the FIG World Cup Champion for 2011. Currently Mykola Kuksenkov is in first place and Huang Qiushuang in the WAG competition.
The Men’s field comprises of relatively the same gymnasts we have seen at other World Cups while the Women’s field varies slightly. No doubt this will be another All Around win for three time World Champion Kohei Uchimura but the Women’s title is definitely up for grabs although if Huang Qiushuang keeps it together and consistent she is bound to take the title following on from the title she earned at the DTB Cup earlier this month. There will be no qualifying competition, it is just a straight competition.
TV Coverage & Online Streaming
Should a link become available for live streaming it will be edited in to this post and posted on the Full Twist or Page . In Japan TV Coverage will be available on the Asahi Network from 2pm until 3.25pm. GB Sport TV previously showed the Osijek Cup so it may show the Tokyo Cup if you’re in the UK.
