All you need to know: European Championships 2013

The one of the biggest events since the London 2012 Olympics has finally come, the 2013 European Gymnastics Championships. This year, Euro’s will be an Individual Championships – an All Around and Event Finals competition only, with the Men’s and Women’s competition being run together in Moscow, Russia.

 Wednesday 17th April

Men’s Qualification

  • 10.00 – 12.30           MAG CI competition, 1st subdivision
  • 14.00 – 17.00           MAG CI competition, 2nd subdivision
  • 17.30                            Opening ceremony
  • 18.00 – 21.00           MAG CI competition, 3rd subdivision

Thursday 18th April

Women’s Qualification

  • 10.30 – 13.00           WAG CI competition, 1st subdivision
  • 14.30 – 17.00           WAG CI competition, 2nd subdivision
  • 17.15 – 19.45           WAG CI competition, 3rd subdivision

Friday 19th April

All Around competitions

  • 13.00 – 15.45           Competition CII MAG and awarding ceremony
  • 17.30 – 19.30           Competition CII WAG and awarding ceremony
 
Saturday 20th April
Individual Apparatus Competitions
  • 13.30 – 16.50           Competition CIII first session (FX, PH and RI for MAG and VT, UB for WAG)

Sunday 21st April

Individual Apparatus Competitions
  • 13.30 – 16.50           Competition CIII second session (VT, PB and HB for MAG and BB, FX for WAG)

 Time Zones

  • UK & Ireland: Moscow = 3 hours ahead
  • Frankfurt, Paris, Copenhagen etc: Moscow = 2 hours ahead
  • Athens: Moscow = 1 hour ahead
  • New York, Montreal etc: Moscow = 8 hours ahead
  • San Francisco: Moscow = 12 hours ahead
  • Sao Paolo: Moscow = 7 hours ahead
  • Sydney: Moscow = 6 hours behind
  • Tokyo: Moscow = 5 hours behind

    There is also some coverage on British Eurosport 1 if you have access to that – including the Men’s AA Final live.
