Great Britain, the Ukraine and Russia dominated the competition today as we got a good look at Europe’s men using the new Code of Points. Britain’s Max Whitlock proved himself not just to be a Pommel Specialist by clinching the top spot in qualification in the All Around competition ahead of the mighty Oleg Verniaiev. Notable moments of the day were high  scores from Olympic Champion Krisztian Berki on Pommel (15.800), Emin Garibov of Russia with  a massive D score of 7 on high bar to score 15.300, Eleftherios Petrounias 15.625 on Rings and 15.700 for Oleg Stepko on P Bars. Britain’s relatively unknown Ashley Watson has also found himself in the high bar final, Russia’s Denis Ablyazin risked his 7.0 D score floor and suffered a fall to lose out to a place in the finals with a score of  14.900. He did however redeem himself on Rings scoring a massive 15.733.
