The French Olympic team has suffered yet another blow. This time strong team member and All Around gymnast Marine Brevet has been forced to withdraw from the London Olympics due to an injury sustained during competition on Saturday. The Couch Gymnast reports:

Brevet was competing in the Match International Gymnastique Artistique in Haguenau when she suffered an injury to her elbow. The competition pitted Team France against “the rest of the world” in the team’s final competition as a sort of public send-off to the ladies before traveling to London. Brevet was wheeled out of the arena on a stretcher and was later diagnosed with a fracture and dislocation, an injury that unfortunately takes her completely out of the French Olympic Team equation.

In recent months, the French Men’s and Women’s teams have suffered the loss of Thomas Bouhail, Samir Ait Said and Clara Della Vedova.
