An unfortunate technical error in the arena meant that Full Twist (amongst others) was unable to bring you live and up to the minute news yesterday from the qualification of the Junior Europeans.
In the first subdivision of the morning Russia took the lead clocking up 251.094. Great Britain’s strong junior team and the Swiss junior team took to the arena in the second subdivision. GBR powered through to lead the team competition with 253.94 and the Swiss moved into third with 249.686. GBR were unbeatable yesterday, a strong and powerful youthful team coming through showing that the excellence of British gymnastics will continue long after this Olympic cycle. Going into subdivision three, it was clear that no one could knock Britain off the podium. The top three rankings did not change and GBR retained their European Junior Team Champion title for a third time in a row.
