Gymnastics in Europe


The UEG conducted a report in an effort to establish what gymnastics disciplines are being practiced throughout Europe. The results are interesting.

46 Federations have answered our survey.
As a reminder, from a geographical point of view Europe has 51 countries in total and 52 including Israel.
The UEG has 48 affiliated federations including Israel but without Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Vatican City.
  • 45 Federations propose the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics discipline.
  • For Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, 44 out of the 46 Federations that responded to the survey practice this discipline.
  • Rhythmic Gymnastics is practiced by 43 Federations.
  • Finally, to finish with the Olympic disciplines, 34 Federations have Trampoline among the disciplines they offer.

  • GfA : 33 Federations offer gymnastics for all.
  • AER : 31 Federations have Aerobics.
  • ACRO : 29 Federations propose Acrobatics.
  • TeamGym: 17 countries with an obvious majority of northern European Countries.
