Gymnastics Australia has announced the official team competing at the 2015 edition of the Trofeo di Citta Jesolo, which takes place March 25th – 29th.

Seniors

The experienced Emily Little will head up the team. She has  some good international experience having competed in both the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2012 Olympic Games. Little returned to competition in December 2014 after a year out at the 4th Mexican Open where she won silver in the All Around competition and on Bars as well as bronze on Floor. Georgia Godwin became a senior in 2013 and won the 2014 National Senior AA title. She also joined the Australian team in Jesolo in 2014 where they placed 4th and Godwin ranked 24th AA. Prior to this she had a very successful competition at the 2014 Nadia Comaneci Invitational, taking Team 1st as well as AA gold and silver on Vault, Bars and Floor. We caught up with Georgia in 2014 ahead of trials for the World Championships.  Kiara Munteanu also competed at Jesolo last year, ranking 18th AA, 4th in the bar final and 8th in the floor final. 2014 was a big year for her, competing at her first World Championships. After a year out in 2012 Emma Nedov returned to competition in 2013 as a senior competing at the Australian National Championships taking the beam title. 2014 saw her compete at a number of international events including the World Championships with her highest individual ranking as 11th on beam in qualification. Eliza Freeman and Rianna Mizzen complete the team. Both 2013 AYOF competitors make their Senior international debuts at Jesolo.

Juniors

Yasmin Collier was part of the 2013 Jesolo team who ranked 4th. Last year she took bronze on beam at the Australian National Championships. Emily Whitehead is also returning to Jesolo this year, she ranked 24th AA in 2014. In the same year she took silver AA at the Australian Nationals, gold on Beam and bronze on Floor. Paige James (3rd VT, 7th AA,1st FX 2014 Aus Championships, ) will make her first outing to Jesolo.  Emi Watterson, who became well known in the International Development Programme will also compete in Jesolo for the first time as will Talia Folino, the 2014 IDP Level 10 AA Champion.
