Tweet Just before Christmas it was announced that french star and  2010 World Vault Champion Thomas Bouhail suffered an injury whilst training for the London 2012 Test Event. Bouhail is said to have suffered a bad fracture to his tibia – fibula in training, the injury required surgery and will require a lot of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

It has emerged this week however, via his official website, that he will not take part in the London 2012 Olympics with his team. Both the MAG and WAG French teams qualified for London …

Tweet Following Kieran Behan’s Olympic qualification, Europe’s largest bookmaker Paddy Power has released odds on the young gymnast. Website Betting Pro reports:

Kieran’s heart warming story has prompted Paddy Power to also bet 16/1 that he’ll bring out a best selling autobiography in the next four years. The odds on him winning a medal either this year or further down the line in 2016 are 28/1 while it’s 200/1 he’s named Sports Personality of the Year by 2016.

Tweet Kieran Behan pulled out all he had for his floor routine at the O2 tonight, luckily he did so as he has earned a place at the Floor event finals later this week. The Irish gymnast who trains at Tolworth Gymnastics Club fist pumped the air as he walked off the floor, knowing he was the boy who had done good. It was an agonizing 3 rotations wait to find out if he had qualified for the floor final on Thursday, and that’s what he did. He says:

Tweet It’s day one here at the O2 Arena / North Greenwich Arena, the set up is fantastic. Gymnova are supplying the equipment so the usual red and cream brand colours look excellent, against the pink VISA carpets, not so much but all the same the set up is great.

Tweet Sandra Izbasa and Flavious Koczi have been named as the best Artistic Romanian gymnasts by the Romanian Gymnastics Federation. The Federation has put both Izbasa and Koczi at the top of the list for 2011.

Tweet 2012 is already shaping up to be a busy year for 2011 World All Around Champion Jordyn Wieber. Yesterday it was announced that she will compete with Worlds 2011 team mate Aly Raisman at the AT & T American Cup in March and now it is reported that she will compete at the Pacific Rim Championships, March 16th-18th.
