The World School Games will take place in Brazil, November 27th – December 4th. 20 countries will be represented in Artistic Gymnastics which is part of the “Gymnasiade”. Rhythmic and Aerobic gymnastics will also take place.
For WAG and RG, gymnasts born in ’97,’98 and ’99 are eligible to compete. For MAG, gymnasts born in ’96, ’97 and ’98 are eligible to compete.
Competitors range from Europe to South America to Asia. Confirmed to be competing are artistic gymnasts from: Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, England, Ukraine, Cyprus, Ecuador, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, India, Qatar, Scotland, Spain and Turkey. Known to be attending are the following from GBR: Georgina Hockenhull, Ellie Downie, Rhyannon Jones, Charlie Fellows, Claudia Frapagne, Nile Wilson, Jay Thompson, Joe Fraser, Giarnni Regini – Moran and Hamish Carter.
The competition is divided into 4 days:
- MAG Team & AA Friday 29th November
- WAG Team & AA Saturday 30th November
- Event Finals Day 1 (WAG VT & UB and MAG FX, PH, SR) Monday 2nd December
- Event Finals Day 2 (WAG BB & FX and MAG FX, HB & PB) Tuesday 3rd December
Normal rules apply top 8 qualify to EF’s, 2 per country rule applies.
