Jordyn Wieber may have won the title for a third year but Gabrielle Douglas certainly stole the show. The 16 year old placed with the highest score in this All Around competition, unfortunately for Gabby her scores were not counted as she was exhibitioning. Both Gaby and Romania’s Larisa Iordache have made their mark on the international stage with Iordache placing third behind Aly Raisman.

I love Gabby and I’m very excited with her outcome, but I don’t think she would have done as well if she wasn’t an exhibition. Gabby hasn’t done well under pressure. She displayed her weakness at VISA nationals and EF uneven bars at worlds. The one thing that has amazed me was both her and Aly’s Amanars. It’s starting to pan out that the USA has the strongest vault line up. Jordyn, Gaby, Aly, Shawn and McKayla all throw Amanars. Alicia and McKayla are both World vault champions 2010&2011. I can’t wait to see what the team will be. The one thing that I am curtain with is Jordyn Wieber will be 2012 AA National Champion & AA Olympic Champion. This is my opinion and I don’t think the Russians Komova nor Mustafina can get her, with all around maybe on uneven bars but they will have to battle the out with He, Beth and Nastia.
