I’m not a football fan but I support my country at International Level, I’m more of a rugby girl it has to be said. Yes it requires a lot of natural talent to be a World Class footballer but I always find rugby more impressive. One thing that strikes me is the attitude of rugby players opposed to that of football players. Tweet FIG have released an update on their website regarding Dong Fangxiao and Yang Yun. In the case of Dong Fangxiao, the Executive Committee constituted that there was a violation to the FIG Statutes and Regulations. The Executive Committee decided that in the case of Yang Yun the concrete and objective evidence available is insufficient to prove that the birth date indicated on the official documents was falsified.

Tweet With 895 days to go until the London 2010 Olympics, a decision has been made to hold the rhythmic gymnastics competition in Wembley Arena, BBC Sport have an update on the decision.
International Olympic Committee website is great! They have a great list of the calender of events in Artistic Gymnastics and also a fantastic database that you can search for all of the medal winners, over all of the sporting categories since 1896!

I recently bought “Letters to a young gymnast“, a book by Nadia Comaneci. It just arrived today so I’ll be snuggling up in bed to read it tonight. I must be honest and say that I have not read many gymnastics books that aren’t directly about coaching. I have read Chalked Up by Jennifer Sey, I enjoyed the read.It was interesting to find out how gymnasts conducted themselves and the lengths they would go to to achieve their dreams goal, even if compromising their own health.
