Lexie Priessman

Amelia Hundley

What do you make of the gymnasts selected to attend? Leave a comment below and lets get discussing the selection.

A post will follow with details of this weekends competition.

  1. Leigh Fish says:

How does this format work? Does everyone do AA? What counts towards team total?

  2. My predictions were correct with the exception of Jordyn. I’m surprised she’s on the team. I thought Marta would want to send someone who hasn’t seen much competition recently and needs to prove themselves more leading up to the Olympics, such as Sabrina Vega or Shawn Johnson. It’s a terrific team, though, and it’ll be exciting to see Gaby and Jordyn competing again with Gaby’s scores counting this time!

  3. Admin says:

It’s a Team, All Around and Individual competition.According to USAG,the competition format is 6 on a team (Max of 3 seniors), 5 compete on each event, and the top 4 scores count regardless of junior or senior

  4. Admin says:

Yeah I’m pretty surprised about Jordan, I would’ve though that it would be better to try to keep her as injury free as possible and given that she’s just competed at the Am Cup, to give her a break. I did expect to see Johnson on the team. Interesting line up all the same!

  5. Catherine says:

Very predictable really . . . I thought Shawn might have been picked over Jordyn but we don’t know how her skills are after the time off she had to strengthen her knee! Hope she gets to go to Jelso though coz I would really love to see her before Classics!
