Tweet This afternoon China won the 2011 World Gymnastics Championships Men’s Team Final followed by Japan and the USA.  Japan so very narrowly beat the USA to that silver medal, I suspect a lot of scrutiny of Kohei Uchimura’s final routine where he fell on high bar on his Kovacs and also the fact that the judges spent a while deliberating over Tanaka’s and Zhang’s scores also.

Tweet Irish MAG gymnasts Rohan Sebastian, Kieran Behan and Luke Carson began Podium Training today. Rick from Gymnastics Coaching has been keeping a close eye on the boys for us where the guys plans were to go through their routines cleanly and quickly. He chatted to briefly to Luke and Kieran before the session. They were up on floor first, Behan receiving only minor deductions and one out of bounds, overall Rick called it a “very clean”. Tweet Last week during the World Gymnastics Championships, British Gymnastics submitted a bid to host the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
BG submitted the paperwork to bid for the event just one year after the Worlds were held at the O2 arena in London which will also be the gymnastics venue for the London 2012 Olympics. Under proposals, the event would be staged at the 12,500 capacity £125 million Scottish National Arena in Glasgow. it’s due to open in 2013 and stage the Commonwealth Games gymnastic events in 2014. Tweet USA Gymnastics are doing an AMAZING job at keeping those who are unable to be at Worlds in the loop. They are uploading videos to their YouTube channel as soon as possible. This is excellent, they’re really setting the bar for the rest of the media involved in the 2010 Worlds!! Tweet The 2010 Artistic World Championships has just announced that more tickets will go on sale for events on 22nd, 23rd and 24th of October. The Ahoy Centre has undergone some renovation work which has meant that more seating can be accommodated.
