Tweet Thanks to The All Around for linking to some brilliant documents on the Canadian Gymnastics website. The link provided is documents which contain the proposals for code changes from the symposium in Zürich last month.

The were a huge amount of suggestions and recommendations from the different gymnastics federations world wide (Argentina, Australia, Japan, Canada, Chile, China, France, Russia etc) one point that was mentioned a lot was  artistry – on both beam and floor. Tweet There has been a lot of news from the FIG over the May bank holiday weekend. So here is a brief catch up:
Many gymnastics blogs have reported the big news of FIG President Bruno Grandi’s recognition that the current Code Of Points (CoP) is a “ticking time bomb”. I’m delighted that he has finally acknowledged that something must be done with the CoP, nothing will change until after the London 2012 Olympics. Tweet FIG have created a “Help Desk” to help clarify & give examples of different rules in the FIG WAG Code of Points.

This document called Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Help Desk has the intention to clarify and give examples of the different rules of the FIG WAG Code of Points.
The goal of WTC is to reduce different interpretations of the rules, therefore provide a more objective work of the judges.
