Tweet Canadian Gymnast Madeline Gardiner has been named Cambridge Athlete of the Year. Madeline was chosen amongst a group of nominees that included  athletes in sports such as cross-country skiing, martial arts, cycling and water skiing.

The gymnast is on the Canadian National team and is being tipped as one of the gymnasts who may represent Canada in the 2012 Olympics. She recently competed in the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Tweet You might know Carol Angela Orchard as the former Canadian National Technical Advisor but she has taken up a new role as British Gymnastics Women’s National Coach – Beam & Artistic Preparation.
