Congratulations Team GB for a fantastic European Gymnastics Championships! The women’s team won the silver medal at the European Championships today. I’ve read a lot of reports and reviews from the competition but my favorite has got to be from BBC Sports Ollie Williams who I often link to. For those in the UK and Ireland who don’t have access to …

Tweet Following on from Albert’s excellent post yesterday covering the WAG Junior Podium Training, he has posted another very detailed post from the WAG Senior Podium Training. Thanks again Albert, I’m really enjoying how concise your reports are.
It seems the Ukraine and Spain are suffering injury blows, what  a pity.

Spain suffered the injury of beam/floor specialist, Thais Escolar, just before leaving Madrid to Birmingham.

Another team that suffered the lost of one of their best gymnasts was Belgium, Aagje Vanwalleghem had to withdraw from the Championships after suffering a new knee injury.

Tweet The BBC have posted a video on the website with Paul Garber (Vice President of European gymnastics and President of British gymnastics) speaking about how some teams have managed to over come the disruption the volcanic ash has caused.
Competitors have shown great “spirit and camaraderie” by endeavouring to get to Birmingham ahead of the European Gymnastic Championships despite the volcanic ash cloud that has grounded planes around the continent.
