Shawn Johnson: In training for 2012

5 May 2010 No Comment

According to Full In Full Out, she’s making a comeback! Full In Full Out linked to an article on Des Moines Register that Shawn let it slip that she is training for London 2012. Awaiting a tweet or an announcement on her website / blog to confirm this. Maybe by the time I wake up in the morning, it’ll be the last thing she’ll do in the evening in the USA!

Thanks for the info Full In Full Out!

Also, here is a short interview that Shawn did with Des Moines Register.

After months — heck, more like a year — of speculation, Shawn Johnson made it official today: She’s going for the 2012 Summer Games in London.

What swung your decision?

“I think I’ve known since Day One that (I’ve wanted to come back). I’ve always said gymnastics was my life, I’ll never live without it. I went two years trying to find an excuse to get away from it. But there’s something about it that just pulled me back. I’m a little kid at heart and I can’t get away from it. I love it and I missed it a lot.”
