The Czech Republic played host to the Sokol Grand Prix Brno this weekend. Similar to the recent  Swiss Cup, the competition follows an unusual format.

The competition is split into 3 rounds:

Round 1: Qualification

Gymnasts enter as couples, every gymnasts competes on 2 apparatus

Round 2: Semi Finals

The 8 best ranked couples qualify to the semi finals where each gymnasts perform on a 3rd apparatus. The scores from the first rounds are scrapped and the couples begin from zero again.

Round 3: Finals

The 4 best ranked couples qualify to the semi finals where the female gymnasts compete on any apparatus they desire and the male gymnasts compete on their 4th apparatus but it must be different from that they have competed on in previous rounds (female gymnasts can compete on the same apparatus again).
