Results: EYOF Day 4 WAG

Today saw the final competitions take place in the Artistic Gymnastics of EYOF 2011. Both the boys and girls battled it out in the event finals.

The Germans, Italians and Romanians continued on quite strong from the team competition in the girls  Event Finals. These young Italian girls are looking promising for the future. Today was also a chance  for the other nations to grab some medals, this they surely did. However Larissa Iordache didn’t quite steal the show as many would have anticipated and expected, despite winning medals on every apparatus, they weren’t all gold. Most expected her to win the gold on every event, all the same she did excellently. She still makes the future of Romanian gymnastics looking very exciting.   Click any of the results to enlarge the image.

Let me understand. Iordache won 6 medals: 3 gold, 3 silver. And she didn`t shine? She won more medals then Komova, but she did not shine. Verry interesting.

  2. Admin says:

Larissa did excellently although it seemed liked all had her pipped to win every gold medal available.

  3. dracsor says:

Eh, I don`t care if she could/should won every gold medal. I like the result as it is, because she need to improve more for the Olympics. She has now the motivation and let`s face it… she does need stronger competitors to compete with. 😀
