Tweet Yesterday saw Podium Training taking place at the VISA Championships. Gymnastics Examiner, Inside Gymnastics and Gymnastike were on location providing updates. Here are a few interesting points:
Shawn Johnson will compete on vault, bars and beam. She doesn’t quite have a routine together yet and is playing things safe for the sake of her knee. Smart girl.
Rebecca Bross will compete on all 4 apparatus and has the same floor music as Jessica Lopez
Nastia Liukin is finally letting the other gymnasts have the limelight and has declined to do interviews with …

Tweet There has been a discussion going on at the International Gymnast forum for the past while as to which countries will find it the hardest to choose their team to represent them at the 2011 World Championships in Tokyo and for the London 2012 Olympics. A few teams names have been batted about but many are stuck between  China and USA.

Tweet The Men’s and Women’s VISA Championships will be held at Xcel Energy Center, August 17th-20th. 50 women will take to the competition floor for this years competition, 28 Juniors and 22 Seniors representing 19 States. The 2011 National VISA Championships will feature the USA’s best gymnasts, all vying for national titles and spots on the U.S. National Team in men’s, women’s and rhythmic gymnastics. Last months CoverGirl Classic really set the stage for the VISA’s to be a very competitive event.
