Luiza Galiulina receives 2 year ban for doping

Back in July of 2012, Uzbek gymnast Luiza Galiulina was expelled from the London Olymic Games due to testing positive for the banned substance furosemide. At the time the gymnast claimed that she did not know how the substance.

As a first time offender, the 20 year old gymnast only received a 2 year ban:

 Lausanne (SUI), FIG Office, May 28, 2013: In the dispute between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), relating to the sanctions imposed on Uzbek gymnast Luiza Galiulina, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has ruled in support of WADA. As a result, the athlete has been suspended for a period of two years, with the ban effective from August 1, 2012.
