Jordyn Wieber’s mother to write gymnastics book

Only three weeks ago Jordyn Wieber became the new All Around World Champion and last week it was announced that she is to turn pro, giving up her NCAA eligibility. On the back of this, Rita Wieber, Jordyn’s mother is set to pen a book titled “Gym Mom — Surviving your daughter’s gymnastics career” for which she has secured a publisher and distributor.

Mrs Wieber says that the book won’t as such be a “how to” guide for Gym Moms but observations and insights from her  experience as a gymnastics parent over the years. This isn’t the first time that Jordyn’s mother will put pen to paper, she is a longtime freelance writer, once writing a popular fitness column for the Lansing State Journal for a number of years.

It should be a good read, I always welcome new gymnastics books.

My oh my…this poor girl. She hasn’t even made it to the Olympics yet and her family is trying to cash-in on her.
