Like most other gymnasts, Hannah Whelan took some down time following the Olympic Games. She has updated her website with a blog post, stating that she will continue training and “will see what happens in the next few years”. Whelan, a 2011 European bronze beam medalist did not have the best Olympic Games, scoring a a zero on vault in the All Around Final thus finishing in last place but says that her main aim was to help the team qualify to team finals and finish in a decent rank.
Her City of Liverpool and London 2012 Olympic team mate however Jennifer Pinches announced her retirement a couple of weeks ago and other team mate Beth Tweddle will not be aiming for Rio 2016 but will slowly wind down her fantastic gymnastics career.
