This weekend sees the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships taking place in Minsk and the second FIG Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling World Cup of 2011 which will be held in St. Petersburg.

33 nations will participate in the senior category and 23 with junior groups in the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. This is an increase on participation in the 2009 European Championships. All eyes will be on Russia’s star rhythmic gymnast, the 2010 European and World Champion Evgenia Kanaeva.

Gymnasts from over 18 countries will participate in the 2011 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling World Cup, 19 gymnasts will participate from Russia alone. China, Spain, Denmark, France, Germany and Japan are just a few of the nations competing.
