Ghent World Cup June 9th & 10th


The World Cup Series continues this weekend with the Ghent World Cup in Belgium. This will be the final World Cup event ahead of the London Olympics in just under 2 months time.


  • June 7th: Training
  • June 8th: Podium Training
  • June 9th: MAG & WAG Qualification
  • June 10th: Apparatus Finals MAG & WAG


The nominative list was released on May 2nd, so could have changed in the mean time, especially since  both MAG and WAG Europeans have taken place in the mean time. Familiar names who are set to compete in WAG are as follows:

Julie Crocket, Gaelle Mys, Daniele Hypolito, Yamilet Pena Abreu, Vasiliki Millousi, Wyomi Masela, Celine Van Gerner, Lisa Top, Valeriia Maksiuta, Marta Pihan Kulesza, Diana Maria Chelaru, Amelia Racea, Diana Bulimar, Nadia Muelhauser, Jessica Diacci, Jessica Lopez, Mariya Livchikova and Thi Ha Thanh Phan.

The MAG competition also contains some familiar names:

Federico Molinari, Prasanth Sellathurai, Fabian Leimlehner, Jimmy Verbaeys, Diego Hypolito, Arthur Nabarrette Zanetti, Jackson Payne, Tomislav Markovic, Filip Ude, Rafael Martinez, Daniel Keatings, Sam Oldham, Epke Zonderland, Jeffrey Wammes, Yuri Van Gelder, Enrique Tomas Gonzalez Sepulveda, Rok Klavora, Saso Bertoncelj, Claudio Capelli, Pascal Bucher and Krisztian Berki.

    I read on a romanian website that the romanians might withdrawl from this competition but they’re not sure yet.

    Ponor is going instead of Racea and Belu will also be the coach attending. 🙂
