Chusovitina to aim for 7th Olympic Games?

GymMedia reports that Oksana Chusovitina will aim to compete in her seventh Olympic Games in Rio. To date Chusovitina has competed in six Olympic Games for three different countries – the Unified Team in 1992; Uzbekistan in 1996, 2000 and 2004; and Germany in 2008 and 2012.

Following the 2012 Olympic Games, she declared she would retire as a gymnast and concentrate on coaching yet GymMedia reports differently. Apparently Chusovitina has completed all of the necessary paper work and her decision to compete for Uzbekistan has been approved.

Should she compete in a Rio she will break records for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, being the only woman to ever have competed in seven Olympic Games.
