Tweet According to More Than The Games Beth Tweddle is cautious of her competition ahead of the World Gymnastics Championships. Beth has admitted that she may struggle to defend her World Floor title that she won last year in London. I wasn’t aware that Beth has suffered a calf strain in August and was forced to take a month off training which has set her back meaning that she was unable to make huge improvements to her floor routine.
In addition to dealing with the pressure of being defending champion, Tweddle …

The new Official Alicia Sacramone website was launched yesterday. Click here to check it out for yourself.
There’s a blog which will hopefully be updated regularly with some good news from Alicia. There’s also a nice looking events page. What I don’t get is the music player with “Alicia’s Top Ten Songs of the Week”.
Alicia is currently over in Rotterdam with the USA Team for Worlds. Her mother Gail recently told USA Today how her and husband Fred were shocked last year when Alicia said that she would …

The arguments and explanations provided do not justify a reconsideration of the provisional decision made by the President of the FIG Disciplinary Commission.
Consequently, the suspension, which was announced on 6 October 2010, will not be lifted. The Gymnastics Association of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (PRK) is not allowed to compete at national and international levels.

Tweet The Irish MAG delegation of Luke Carson, Kieran Behan and Anthony O’Donnell departed for Rotterdam this week with coaches Simon Gale and Demetrios Bradshaw. Tom Dillon will lead the delegation with Colm Murray as Ireland’s judging representative. Luke has only just returned from competing in the Commonwealth Games where he performed fantastically, placing 15th in the All Around final.
For those wondering (and without going into it too much), Luke can compete for both the Republic of Ireland (Worlds) and Northern Ireland (Commonwealths). This is under the terms of The …
