British Gymnasts welcome media to Lilleshall

This week, British Artistic Gymnastics Teams invited the media to an open training session to  showcase new multi-million pound facilities at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. With the upgrade costing a huge £3.5 million, British Gymnastics hopes it will help boost Britain’s success in the London 2012 Olympics.

There has been a lot of money invested in technology, with biomechanist Oliver Logan showcasing how a high-speed camera and feedback system introduced to the facility can help athletes with injury prevention. Sounds great! Lilleshall is also the centre where a number of sport science performance programmes have been set up to help athletes.

How much do you want to jump in that pit!?!
