Blog: Gymnastics Zone

I really enjoy Coach John Howard’s blog posts over at Gymnastics Zone. I have subscribed to the blog and also follow Gymnastics Zone on Twitter.  John aims to provide useful information, products and services to all of the various groups involved in the sport of gymnastics – from preschool coaches to Elite International gymnasts and through his blog posts, he does just that.

As Gymnastics Zone says:

Coach John Howard is a master gymnastics coach with over 25 years experience coaching state, regional, national, and international champions in tumbling and gymnastics. He is the author of 26 books, mostly about gymnastics training, and created Gymnastics Zone, one of the largest gymnastics information sites in the world. These days Coach Howard spends his time developing gymnastics training systems, coaching other gymnastics coaches, consulting and running gymnastics clinics.

John’s recent “open letter to the FIG on scoring changes” was a great read as was “Sports Hydration – A Young Athletes Guide” . There is also a section on the website called “Ask the Gymnastics Coach”, where John answers questions from gymnasts, parents and coaches and shares his experiences and advice with them. The website is a great source for gymnastics coaching tips. Another must read for gymnasts and parents is the PDF Document “How to Get The Most out of Every Gymnastics Practice“.

Thanks John.
