All you need to know: European Youth Olympic Festival 2013

From July 14th – 19th, the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands will host the 2013 edition of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). Tuesday 16th – Friday 19th will see the Artistic Gymnastics competition take place in the Galgenwaard Sports Centre.

The 2009 edition featured WAG stars such as Victoria Komova (1st AA),  Amelia Racea (2nd AA), Celine Van Gerner (3rd AA), Raluca Haidu, Giulia Steingruber, Julie Crocket, Chiara Gandolfi, Johanna Adlerteg, Teja Belak and Carlotta Ferlito, to name a few.

In 2011, the competition featured rising stars such as Larisa Iordache, Erika Fasana, Elisa Meneghini, Noemi Marka, Courtney Tulloch, Frank Baines, Gabrielle Jupp and Janine Berger.

Schedule

Tuesday July 16th

  • Boys Team Competition
  • 8am – 5.45pm (includes warm up)

Wednesday 17th July

  • Girls Team competition
  • 7.30am – 6.45pm (includes warm up)

Thursday 18th July

  • Boys All Around Final 12.30pm – 2.45pm
  • Girls All Around Final 4.30pm – 6.45pm

Friday 18th July

  • MAG & WAG Event Finals 12.30pm – 4.45pm

 

Competitors

While not every country has no yet made their competitors known, we do know some information. Gymnasts from Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, FinlandFrance, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation, Republic of Serbia, Turkey, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal and Ukraine will compete.     The early times are the start of the warming up in the training hall. On Wednesday the competition starts at 9.50 but the warming up in the training hall for the first group starts at 8.00.
