Alicia Sacramone announces retirement

10 time world medallist Alicia Sacramone has announced her retirement from competitive gymnastics.

USA Gymnastics has posted an extensive write up which I deem fit to be perfect for Sacramone’s retirement so I’m not going to try to write an ode to her. I will just say that I have had the chance to meet Alicia, she is a beautiful, warm and extremely friendly individual. I will truely miss her beauty and elegance on beam, powerful vaults and strong floor routines. One title I wish that she had won was the London 2012 Olympic Vault or Beam title but alas, it was not meant to be.
