With the Olympics now over, we enter a new Olympic Cycle in 2013. The new Code of Points will be released in due course, this was accepted at the FIG’s Executive Committee meeting in London in August. The draft code, drawn up approximately 6 months ago is available for download here.
It will be interesting to see what new elements have been approved. I do know that the “Whitlock”, named after GBR gymnast Max Whitlock, has been approved for MAG.
Great Britain’s Max Whitlock did not perform his element in competition but once performed on the Rings in competition he will have a Salto forward pike or stretched with 5/2 turns named after him. This will be valued as a D element.
