Worlds 2013: Ireland’s Luke Carson ruled out from devastating injury

Today, in the final stages of preparation towards the upcoming World Championships in Antwerp, Ireland’s Luke Carson suffered a devastating blow.

At the pre- Worlds training camp, Luke shattered his left tibia, the same tibia which only a year ago underwent an incredible amount of surgery and treatment. Read his account of today’s incident here.

At the moment he is in a full leg cast, with the medical team hoping not to have to operate but clearly his gymnastics career is in doubt.

Luke is a good friend of Full Twist, we know how hard he has fought in his career and the obstacles he has climbed to be reach to achieve his dream of competing at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and also his belief that he could make history, helping Ireland qualify their first ever Mens team to an Olympic Games. We wish him every success with recovery.
