The Telegraph on Kabayeva’s Vogue Cover

Gymnastics Coaching and Gymnastics Examiner posted the cover of Russian edition of Vogue which has Rhythmic Gymnast Alina Kabayeva featuring on the cover.

The Telegraph has picked up on the cover and written an article on the fact that the newly appointed editor of Russian Vogue has courted controversy by putting Vladimir Putin’s alleged mistress on her first front cover.

Back in 2008 Kabayeva was linked to Putin, the two were thought to be having an affair. Reports of a marriage were denied by Putin. Since retiring from gymnastics, Kabeyva has become a State Duma deputy within the Party of United Russia, like Svetlana Khorkina.
