We were the first blog to report last night that Imogen Cairns name appeared on the starting list for Team GB for the qualifiers today. British Gymnastics have finally given us a reason for Cairns making the team.

Imogen Cairns is listed in the start list for Team GB tomorrow. It seems Danusia is out and Cairns is in! Cairns has just returned from the Commonwealth Games where she competed for England. Cairns has been named as team reserve but appears to have stepped up for tomorrow’s qualifiers.

Congratulations Team GB for a fantastic European Gymnastics Championships! The women’s team won the silver medal at the European Championships today. I’ve read a lot of reports and reviews from the competition but my favorite has got to be from BBC Sports Ollie Williams who I often link to. I’ve been following Ollie’s tweets during the week and it seems that he has really fallen in love with gymnastics. His report oozes of pride and sheer delightment.
