Romania did it, they took back the European title that was last theirs in 2008, Sandra Izbasa was also part of this team. By mid way through the final rotation it was clear that the margin was just too big for the Russians to beat them and that the title was theirs. At this point Great Britain lay in third place, to be ousted by the strong Italian team to fourth place.
