Mary takes her elite gymnasts through a typical second workout of the day of their fine-tuning conditioning, primarily plyometrics, something as a coach, I’m a huge fan of. Plyo’s are exercises designed to produce fast, powerful movements.
Tweet 1996 Olympic Floor champion Ioannis Melissanidis, is rumoured to be considering returning to competition. AFP reports today that 34 year old Melissanidis who became a national hero upon winning gold on floor in Atlanta is considering returning to competition but rules out returning for the London 2012 Olympics.

Will compete at the Covergirls Classics this month. According to an interview with Universal Sports Shawn will compete on Vault, Bars and Beam. Very exciting news, I don’t expect to be blown away by her first performance since coming back from her ACL injury but will be delighted to see her back in the spotlight.
