New GBR Head National Coach

Amanda Reddin, known to many as Beth Tweddle’s coach has been appointed by British Gymnastics as the new Head National Women’s Coach. Reddin takes over from Adrian Stan who has done a great job to help bring the women up through the rankings but has now moved to a new position as High Performance Coach Development.

Reddin brings a wealth of experience to the role having competed at the 1984 Olympic Games and most notably coached Beth Tweddle MBE to European, World and Olympic success across four cycles. Coming so soon after an outstanding London Olympic campaign, this appointment will see the discipline continue to drive forwards towards Rio 2016.

Amanda Reddin said: “It is a great honour to be appointed as Head National Coach and I’m excited to take on the challenge of continuing the great legacy left by Adrian Stan. I look forward to building relationships with coaches and gymnasts as we look ahead to European and World Championships in 2013.”

Amanda has been a coach at four Olympic Games, I can’t wait to see how she will continue to help WAG development in the UK.
