Many gymnasts and teams have already qualified for the London 2012 Olympic Games given their rankings and achievements at the World Gymnastics Championships earlier this month. Unfortunately we do not yet know the official list of gymnasts who have qualified, this will be posted once it is confirmed by the FIG but up to 60 nations are expected to compete in January. The top 8 teams who qualified in the MAG and WAG Team finals have secured their place in London, the remaining teams must compete at the London 2012 Test Event in January for 4 available spots. This will be the final chance for gymnasts to qualify for the Games. It also provides gymnasts with an opportunity to get to grips with the Olympic apparatus and environment before the Games.
Full Twist has put together a short FAQ regarding the Test Event:

Are the dates and times correct? I bought tickets for WAG on Tuesday 10th … But accoring to the start list Tuesday 10th is MAG! Hoping you are right as otherwise I am going to miss out on what I wanted to see
Very disappointed there was no description when buying the tickets through Ticketmaster, it just said Gymnastics Test Event!
Just remembering, Brazil, South Korea and Belgium also lead their teams to the FIG Test Event in women’s category.
