Irish gymnasts continue to impress

Irish gymnasts have continued to impress in Athens, winning another 3 medals today at the Special Olympics World Summer Games. Laura Rumball from Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin placed 3rd on both Uneven Bars and Balance Beam and won a silver medal on floor in Level 2 at her first World Summer Games. Congratulations Laura!!

Uneven Bar – 11.588 3rd place

Floor – 11.050 2nd place

Vault – 17.950 4th place

Beam – 13.063

All Around – 53.649 6th place

Wexford’s Carole Ryan also had a fantastic day, she won 2 gold medals in Level 1. Carol previously won gold and silver medals at the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games.
