Gymnastics Ireland: Kieran Behan secures place at London 2012 Test Event

The new Category B World Floor Champion, Irish gymnast Kieran Behan has earned himself a place at the London 2012 Test Event. This is a massive achievement for an Irish gymnast. Ireland’s first and only gymnast to enter the Olympic Games was Barry McDonald in 1996. 2011 has been an incredible year for Kieran, winning three FIG medals for his country. Kieran will be competing with the likes of 2010 High Bar World silver medallist Epke Zonderland, New Zealand’s Patrick Peng, Germany’s Matthis Fahrig, Russia’s Nikita Ignatyev, Ukraine’s Igor Radivlov and USA’s Chris Brooks.

Congratulations Kieran and to Tolworth coaches Simon Gale and Demetrios Bradshaw, Full Twist and the gymnastics community in Ireland are delighted for you.
