On Saturday 8th December the new Commonwealth Arena in Glasgow plays host to the Glasgow World Cup, the only world cup competition to be held in the UK. The top 8 male and female gymnasts in the world will compete for the All Around World Cup title. Glasgow will host the 2014 Commonwealth Games so this is a great chance to see how things may work for hosting in the future. The Arena will be one of the largest in Europe boasting the below features:

- 2000 seat Velodrome/extreme wheeled sports centre
- 3 sports halls/1500 capacity event area
- Dance Studio
- Glasgow Club Gym (55 equipment stations)
- 4 outdoor 5-a-side pitches

This will not be the first time that the new arena will be used for a gymnastics competition, the 2012 Northern Europeans will be hosted by Scotland in October and will take place in the arena.
