Coaching Vacancy: National Coach MAG – Sweden

The Swedish Gymnastics Federation is one of Sweden’s largest sports organizations. We are  represented by 1100 gymnastic clubs with approximately 210 000 members. Most of our clubs do gymnastics just for fun, but 29 000 members are licensed to compete inone of our seven disciplines. We inspire, educate and develop coaches, trainers and gymnasts on all levels.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work together with the National Team Coordinator and the Sports Director preparing the national team for international championships and developing the level of MAG in Sweden
• Develop senior gymnasts, who are on the national team, to competitive international level
• Prepare gymnasts for international championships (European Championships, World Championships)
•  Cooperate with other coaches working with national team gymnasts
•  Cooperate with Malmö Sports Academy (the gymnasts’ school) which is an important partner to the National Center in Malmö
•  Travel to international championships as a coach on the national team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as a senior coach with proven results at the international level (e.g.European Championships)
• Experience from developing gymnasts from junior level to senior level
• Experience from working with individual development plans for gymnasts at the senior level
•  Experience from a role working with the national team is preferred
•  Experience from training or mentoring other coaches, organizing coaches’ clinics etc. is preferred
•  Strong knowledge of current COP and/or judging merits is preferred
• Formal training as a coach and/or FIG Academy training is preferred
