Tweet At the weekend, Gymnastics Coaching posted about the flying camera that will be used at Worlds. Today FIG has posted an article on their website today about the “spidercam”, a remote controlled silent camera system, suspended by 4 Kevlar ropes which will be used for the first time in Rotterdam for Worlds with the hope of bringing “thrilling images from exciting new angles to the television audience”. Pretty cool eh?
The camera has been used at other sporting events such as the World Cup 2010 and was given the green …

Ollie Williams has written a fantastic article on British gymnast Imogen Cairns, Full Twist highly recommends that you read it. British Gymnastics released a statement with the announcement, they felt that Imogen’s performance at the Commonwealth Games merited her a place on the World Championships team.

Tweet I’m not seeing as much coverage online this morning for the MAG Qualifiers as there was for the WAG Qualifiers, as Ollie Williams said on Twitter, it’s Monday morning and there’s never as much interest in MAG as there is for WAG. Subdivision 1 – 5 has currently just finished and they are moving onto Subdivision 2 (Colombia, Japan, Spain, Romania, Finland, Denmark)
Reports from Gymnastics Coaching, Ollie Williams and The All Around are saying that two gymnasts have been stretchered off already – yes, in the first subdivision. Egypt’s …

Tweet Alicia Sacramone has told Inside Gymnastics that she will resume floor training next year.
Alicia Sacramone told us today she plans to resume training for floor next year… she’s already working on a routine that’ll tell the story of her journey in gymnastics, complete with dramatic music… a floor routine with some true inspiration behind it.
Judging by these videos, it appears to me that she is in flying form. I wonder could Shawn or Nastia make a return as great as hers is looking.
