14.00 – 17.00 Men’s Vault, High Bar & Rings Final and the Women’s Beam & Floor Final (BBC 2)
The BBC coverage will feature additional commentary from Dan Purvis, Louis Smith, Beth Tweddle and Daniel Keatings. Note that it isn’t in fact live, which is a terrible pity.

Tweet I found a new blog today (to me anyway) – Rewriting Russians Gymnastics. What a great time to discover a new Russian Gymnastics Blog!
On Mustafina:
Last night I saw a dominant Russian performance in the all around competition. For many, many years I thought I would never see this again. Brown-eyed Aliya Mustafina, only just turned 16 years of age, raised the flag for Russia. And if I sound uncharacteristically reticent in my description of this amazing gymnast, it’s simply because I lack the words to describe her. I find …

Aliya Mustafina wins the Women’s All Around World Champion title for Russia. View the FIG Report or view the results here.
Highlights for me: Ana Porgras’ floor routine, just amazing. To return from a recent broken ankle to perform and tumble like that is just fantastic. Yuyan’s floor routine, so beautiful and dramatic. Excellent choreography and so good to see a gymnast move to the music and show off her personality through her dance. Bross & Mustafina on bars.
Two really memorable highlights for me were Rebecca Bross’ fall …

We posted previously that the BBC World Olympic Dreams Team are featuring Shawn as one of the athletes being tracked for World Class 2012 in partnership with the British Sports Council. They have posted a new video and article with Shawn, where she discusses her come back and the possibility of winning gold in 2012. Shawns parents, Doug and Teri also talk to the BBC about her come back. Shawn is apparently postponing college, cancelling all the events on her celebrity schedule and staying at home where she will spend almost …

All along Russia, China and the USA were the hot favorites to do well in yesterdays Team Final. We predicted it would be a China, USA, Russia finish but as it turns out it was the reverse. Honestly, Full Twist hasn’t seen any footage from the competition except the short but excellent FIG Women’s Team Highlights video on YouTube. Unfortunately we can’t view coverage on the BBC Website and don’t have the Red Button so we have to wait until tomorrow to watch the Men’s and Women’s Team Final …

Tweet Loving these videos from FIG. Very well edited and put together. You can really see how they’re putting the “spidercam” to good use, which I am also loving! Watch it on big screen, it’s worth it!

Daytime was pretty until the competition kicked off at 4pm British time.
Ollie Williams posted 2 great article, the first being the inspiring story of Imogen Cairns return to gymnastics after long term injury and the second was post the Women’s Team Finals.
The All Around, Gymnastike and International Gymnast Magazine were all doing a fantastic job live blogging on Facebook and Twitter.
Gymnastike has interviews with some of the gymnasts following the Teams Finals such as Hannah Whelan, Beth Tweddle, Alicia Sacramone, Bridget Sloan, Ashleigh Brennan and also …
