American Cup 2013: Ross out – Biles, Ohashi & Chant in


The announcement that many gymnastics fans were waiting for came out this evening, with added bonus’ (for some). USA Gymnastics announced that Olympic medalist Kyla Ross has been forced to withdraw from the American Cup due to a “bruised heel”. In her place will be Katelyn Ohashi and Simone Biles. Meet both gymnasts here:

We also reported earlier today that Japan’s Koko Tsurumi had been removed from the list of competitors on the AT & T American Cup official website. With that, the search was on to find a new gymnast, someone close to home who could make it in time – in steps Canada’s Maegan Chant who will join team mate Victoria Moors in Worcester this weekend.

    It seems the American cup has really become a joke but honestly I don’t blame the Russians or Romanians for not sending any athletes seeing as how they are never scored fairly. This just makes the competition completely boring.
